Whenever you assign a custom domain to a SiteSwan site, you should be able to access it up by typing in the domain name with or without the www. in front of it, as long as you follow our Connect a Domain instructions correctly.
However, you may run into problems in certain internet browsers if you try loading the site without www. in front of it, but with the https:// protocol (as opposed to http://) in front of the domain. This is because in order to utilize our server load balancer with perpetual accommodations in place, the site needs to load with the www in front.
If for some reason your client needs their site to load with https:// and without www. in front, then you can follow these steps to connect the domain:
For our example, we will use brotherjoespizza.com as the domain you are trying to point live.
Step 1: Disable Domain Forwarding, if it is currently enabled.
Step 2: Click here and follow our instructions for Connecting a Domain.
